Grand Staircase Escalante Partners announces its new executive Director
Grand Staircase Escalante Partners is thrilled to announce that Jacqualine Grant has accepted our offer to become GSEP’s next Executive Director. As GSEP prepares to enter its 20th year of service, we have found a dynamic leader capable of deepening our impact in protecting the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument (GSENM) through conservation, science, and education.
Jackie is an experienced project manager, museum curator, botanist, educator, and environmental scientist with expertise in the Seeds of Success protocol and native plant biology in the American Southwest. She is an accomplished scientist and fundraiser who has built international collaborations with diverse colleagues to complete complex studies and projects. Jackie is skilled in using her deep understanding of scientific study design, inference, and communication skills to translate intricate topics to the general public, legislators, and other stakeholders.
Jackie will begin as GSEP’s Executive Director on January 2, 2024, and has already begun her transition into the role with the help of our outgoing Executive Director, Sarah Bauman. We are eternally grateful for the leadership and vision Sarah has provided since joining GSEP in 2019 and look forward to celebrating her accomplishments in a communication with you later in the year.
Thank you for your ongoing support of GSEP, especially during this time of leadership transition. We assure you that the Board of Directors and our staff are committed to honoring and building upon GSEP’s years of success in protecting the Monument through science, conservation, and education.
