“Rapid global change is impacting every corner of the planet, including the Colorado Plateau. I’ve spent most of my career working on and thinking about the Colorado Plateau, my heart’s home, and I have come to feel that we need to find radically new ways of protecting and shepherding these places into the future. We need new partnerships, new methods, and, frankly, a new attitude. Rather than removing humans from the equation, how can we participate in creating even better outcomes?
I am motivated to give to GSEP because GSEP is in the trenches developing these new approaches and forging the relationships we need for vibrant, healthy, and biodiverse ecosystems in GSENM and elsewhere. I am excited and grateful every day for having the opportunity to be a part of this hard-working and dedicated group.”
