YOUTH HIKE (ages 10+) — Registration Required

What better way to get moving during summer break than to spend time on the local trails! In addition to hiking approximately 3.5 miles, participants will get to learn a bit about the geologic feature of “the Grand Staircase” and why this region has that name. This hike is for youth ages 10+ and starts from Jacob Hamblin Park at 8:30 am on Thursday, July 15th.

We anticipate the group returning to the park by 11:30am; if we return early, we will continue to supervise your children with games at the park until then. All participants should bring a small backpack, at least 1 liter of water, and some snacks and should wear closed-toe shoes that are comfortable for walking on uneven surfaces. Hats and sunscreen application prior to arrival are also recommended.

Try to spot all the plants, animals, and geologic features on your bingo card along the way. Be sure to return your bingo card back at the parking lot or take it home with you, but don’t leave it (or any other items) out on the trail!
